Despite its ubiquitous nature now, the table undertook a lot of transformations to get where it is now. The Egyptians were the first to use the earliest tables, although the first were not much more than stone platforms that were used for eating rather than for sitting. Tables were also embraced by the Greeks and Romans, who seemed to use them more often than the Egyptians did. Again think about how you want the cupboard organized, draw a diagram if desired. As with dishes put items that you use regularly on lower, easily accessable shelves. Store the items that are seldom used higher. If you have items left on your table decide where they belong. Some probably don't belong in the kitchen.
