Orange Kid's Bathroom With Open Shelving. Adding orange in darker corners will help brighten up the space. This kid's bathroom by This Old House uses orange paint in the open shelving area to add some color to a dark space, and to harmonize with the rest of the bathroom. Bright green and yellow towels suit the bathroom perfectly.
A designated work area. Although most designers would advise against working in your bedroom, that's not always a reality. Designate a specific work area in your room, preferably as far from your bed as possible, so that you don't feel guilty for finishing up paperwork.
Farmhouse dining chairs. Finally, we had to lavish some well deserved praise on farmhouse dining chairs, as they naturally exude a certain homely charm that is impossible to resist. Usually made from simple pine and with an unfussy design, a coat of shabby chic pastel paint and a coat of furniture wax can really make them come alive. Tie on cushion pads complete the look and add an extra level of comfort as well.
Contemporary Bathroom With Orange Taps. This bathroom by Found Associates makes a bold style statement with a column pedestal sink, a green wall, and orange taps. The single towel peg to the side of the sink is also a very interesting touch. Clean geometrical shapes and well‐defined, bright colors are characteristic of the contemporary style.
